City-of-Games is the name under which boardgame maker Sven Andressen from the city of Essen (now Bremen) / Germany is producing and publishing his own games. Essen is the "City-of-Games" and the city where the games trade fair SPIEL is taking place every year. With HEGEMONIA you see the first boardgame of the author in the  Games-on-Demand series.

Since City-of-Games is not a big publishing house, "Games-on-Demand" means that HEGEMONIA is a real home made boardgame. Please understand that City-of-Games lays the focus on the idea of the game and not on the professional finishing of the boardgames material.

Games-on-Demand: Since I everything I do is on low budget, I make my games on demand. When you order a game, I'll produce your copy via DTP all by myself. So your game will be handmade and very unique.

HEGEMONIA from City-of-Games Games-on-Demand is a historical simulation and strategic boardgame of gamemaker Sven Andressen from the city of Bremen in Nothern Germany.

HEGEMONIA leads you into the world of acient Greece. Get lost in the times of the Illias and the battle of Marathon, see the rise of Alexander the Great and the end of the free Greek peoples by the Romans in the defeat of Corinth in 146 b.c. Four boardgamers and 16 historical people can simulate the history of the Hellens and their neighbours. Try to do better than the historical peoples did in real history and win the game. HEGEMONIA is promising you five hours of garanteed boardgame fun.

Unfortunately in the very moment City-of-Games can offer HEGEMONIA only within Germany since I have not made English rules yet. But if there is a certain demand I will write an English book of rules too. Just let me know: andressen@ethnic-games.de.
